Trying to transition 2.4yo from crib to big boy bed. (he was trying to climb out) anyway, he slept in it the first night, but the past 2 nights he keeps saying he wants to sleep in it, but comes out of his room over and over so we end up putting him back in the crib because we don't want to force him. any tips on how to make the transition smoother for him [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Can you break down the crib and put it out of sight? I think it's easier for them if they know it's a done deal. We transitioned DD around that age (a little earlier maybe) and the first few nights she would pop out of her room. But we just walked her back w/o talking or making it interesting and she figured out pretty quick it was time to just sleep. [ Reply | More
