Favorite things to do with kids on the Outer Cape? We're renting a place in Truro for the first time at the end of the month. Any recommendations? We'll have kids ages 1-6 with us. TIA. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

a visit to Provincetown, of course. and the beach up there is fabulous -- I remember spending the day there, with a picnic lunch, jumping the waves, flying kites. biking? lots of bike trails up there, but maybe the kids are too young. have fun though -- I'm envious! [ Reply | More ]

Stay on the Bay side. The big beaches on the Nat'l Seashore are difficult to access and too big to enjoy with little kids. We charter a fishing boat; play mini golf; rent bikes (for the older kids - little ones can try a tandem or carrier). P'town has Commercial Street which will be fun for you but not so much for the kids unless you keep buying them the (overprices) ice creams, etc. [ Reply | More ]

The playground in Wellfleet is nice. Minigolf. I like the fresh water ponds. Rent tandem carrier for biking. [ Reply | More ]
