Just had a boy. I have an older girl. How will they be different in the early years? I've heard that boys are more physical. Any other commonly-accepted generalities? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think it all depends on the boy. I'm pg with a boy now and have 2 dds. My brother was a very calm, easy going kid (I was 11 yr when he was born). He was farthest from what ppl say boys are like. I just pray my son is like my brother [ Reply | More ]

i have heard from a few friends that their sons tend to be clingier. [ Reply | More ]

this is true for my ds. DD is pretty independent, affectionate and loving, but not clingy. DS is attached to my leg and will take every opportunity to sit on me. [ Reply | More ]

boys are much better at math and girls care more about what they wear. [ Reply | More ]

do you have dds? Please don't make girls sound like they are air head bimbos. Mine aren't [ Reply | More ]

OR: of course i was joking. i have a dd and 2 ds. the question is flawed in that OP is setting up expectations based on gender which is wrong wrong wrong. just let your children bloom and find out who they are and what their differences are. 2 girls can be just as different as a boy and a girl. it's a silly silly question. boys are right up front with their emotions, girls are much more convoluted. [ Reply | More ]

my dd is right up there with her emotions. Boys that I know tend to hold things in and when it comes out it comes out in a rage [ Reply | More ]

yeah. guess i meant boys are more black-and-white about things emotionally, girls are a big fat gray. [ Reply | More ]

I don't see it that way. I have 2 dds and they are upfront with their thoughts and emotions but that's my experience [ Reply | More ]
