DF'a divorce recently became final. They were married for 12 years or so and have 3 kids. She was always the breadwinner and he SAH with kids. She left him 3 years ago. They kept the divorce simple and cheap and no lawyers. She has paid him and continues to pay a good amount of money monthly so the kids could remain in the house and not have to move. The house remains in both of their names. Now, 3 years later he is out of work (he's had jobs on and off, never making more than 25K a year) but he doesn't seem pressed to get gainful employment. Meanwhile, he can't afford the house, or upkeep, and DF's biggest investment is slowly sinking into a big leaky roof hole. I say she should force the sale of the house, divide the proceeds and let him start supporting himself. Thoughts? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]
