My kid's lunch repertoire is very limited. We do mac & cheese and leftover pasta in a thermos a lot. Ham and cheese chunks (homemade lunchable basically) a lot bc she won't eat sandwiches. Grilled chicken strips. [ Reply | More ]

Dude. Are you seriously stressing over this? PB&J sandwich or meat and cheese sandwich. A piece of fruit. Some yogurt. Maybe some carrots, cucumbers and some ranch dressing for dipping. Pretzels. The kids don't care. They just want to eat and get back to having fun. [ Reply | More ]

yikes, I hope breakfast or dinner is a bit diff. Eating same food all the time is really bad for you. [ Reply | More ]

Over a long period of time (habit forming), you can miss out on some nutrients by sticking to same foods. Of course, if breakfast and dinner are diff, then fine. [ Reply | More ]

Right, if you do that 3 meals a day for around 365 days a year - peanut butter and jam with a fruit for lunch will not do that. [ Reply | More ]

OMG, for one meal it is fine & I am sure that she mixed up the fruit, which means it in not the same everyday. [ Reply | More ]

this is just absurd. as long as your usual reperatoire has the basics in it, won't make a diff at all. [ Reply | More ]

Meat/dairy goes bad after 2 hrs in room temp. But I think hard cheeses last longer. I'd invest in a thermo lunch box. [ Reply | More ]

Left over Chinese and leftover pasta with sauce (and turkey sausage) are big in our house. Chicken salad (from left over chicken), grilled cheese, cheese tortellinis (the frozen kind boil in 5 minutes) make great finger food, edamame, rice only "sushi", sliced cucumbers, grape tomatoes, baby carrots, hard boiled egg, egg salad and crackers, applesauce, strawberries, blueberries, [ Reply | More ]
