leaving nyc for ct suburbs - thoughts on darien v westport v new canaan with respect to schools, activities for kids, which have more to offer for families with small children? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

They're all on a par really. Westport has a larger downtown area. Darien has a real 'small town' feel. New Canaan is similar without the advantage of the beaches (great for kids in the summer). The commute is easier from Darien and Westport - New Canaan has, I believe, one express train to Grand Central in the a.m., all others change at Stamford. You can check all the schools info online.
