I am trying to find this info on USPS's website but I just can't find it. Does anybody know what I have to do to report missing mail? I sent something via 1st class mail (uninsured, unregistered) and the receiver never got it. Short of going to the post office (hate standing in line) is there anything I can do remotely (via the web or filling out a form and mail it (ha! how ironic) somewhere)? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

you can file something at the post office. no other options and they will almost definitely never find it so don't waste your time. [ Reply | More ]

Doesn't matter if they find it or not. I just want to go on record that the postal service lost a piece of mail in case it is reoccurring. [ Reply | More ]

it's recurring. I have had this happen several times in my life, including "tracked" packages. they know it happens. they do not care. but file if it makes you feel better. [ Reply | More ]
