NTS results 1:500, I am 33 and conceieved through ivf after 4 miserable cycles.... scared of amnio, but was told the results are not good, is that really considered low? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I wouldn't consider that low. If you're ok with a .02% chance that the baby has downs, skip the amnio. [ Reply | More ]

I don't understand why you're being told that your results are not good. Those are good odds. What are they supposed to be for your age group? [ Reply | More ]

Get an ultrasound - if baby looks normal (ie - no markers of downs or trisomy 18) then risk is halved (1:500 goes to 1:1000) [ Reply | More ]
