my ds will turn 3 in oct. he wakes up from his nap or often in the morning and cries for more than half an hour. nothing settles him down, picking him up, putting him down, he seems to have tantrums all the time and really terrible ones. my parents and sister think he is not normal. i think he is difficult but not sure whether we have serious behavioral issues brewing or not. he doesnt really participate in group classes, is very shy. im a little worried about him in general but i know the son of at least one of my friends was like this (terrible tantrums).
