help my brother! his gf's bday is coming up, they will have been together 6 mo. very serious. he is very very wealthy and has no idea what he is supposed to get her for her bday. any advice. i have no idea. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

then I wouldn't do anything too extravagant (like the trip to paris). It sets the standard way too high. If he really is clueless, I would tell him to book a spa day for her birthday, followed by a lovely evening out. A nice piece of jewelery would be best for present. If he's totally lost on her style, have him get a picture or two of her wearing things she loves and pick out based on that. [ Reply | More

I had dated this really rich guy when I was about 22, he took me to Tiffany's and told me to pick out anything I wanted, I was really uncomfortable, in a way, I wish he would have picked it out, he would have spent way more than the little heart bracelet I bought, which was about $400! I was a waitress at the time, never went to college or dated any one above "Blue Collar". FYI, That bracelet is still my favorite piece of jewelry after almost 20 years, and many loaded bf's.
