2.5 year old dc flaps his hands when he's excited or sometimes when bored. His doc says not to worry, but I do. No other problems - just this. Any idea if this is a problem? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

my 7yr. old started hand flapping at 2. we saw a ped neurologist without concerns. he still does it and is dealing with some anxiety issues [ Reply | More ]

Not to cause undue alarm, but Are you seeing any other issues? I would take DS to a developmental pediatrician (there are good ones in NY listed here) or call EI for an evaluation just to make sure. Regular pediatricans (including my DS's) regularly miss things. [ Reply | More ]
