I'm struggling with taking my dd out of her private daycare (homebased, Montessori) and enrolling her in an ACD funded daycare (nearer to home and 1/3 the cost even as a private, non-subsized family). We just can't afford the other place - only reason we are leaving and I feel bad about it but given the economy and our expenses it just seems dumb to keep paying so much money. Any advise? She will be fine in the new school, and you have to do what you can afford. And remember, it's preschool. Her future really does not depend on this. As long as she enjoys herself, it's great. [ Reply | More ]

She will be okay--you're not sending her to a dangerous or sketchy place. And you're doing something fiscally prudent for the family, which is also good for dd. [ Reply | More ]
