why would jealousy in the school process be more of a factor than anything else in life (success, $$ real estate, attractiveness, etc. etc. etc.) [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

interesting question. i used to believe it was because private school parents with money feel entitled (money) and high-scoring public school parents feel entitled (superior genes) now i think it's because just about everyone feels more comfortable being invested in their kids' brains, achievements, beauty, luck, success etc. than they do in their own. kids are the arena where all of us -- but especially women -- can be more blatantly competitive.
