ds just turned three. sil says that he should know letters, numbers, how to spell his name, etc. is this really the case? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

all kids learn differently at different ages. one of my kids could spell her name orally before she could write it. another one wrote her name earlier but didn't know how to spell it until she could write it. both are completely normal. neither did better than the other in kindergarten. your sil sounds competitive or at best, misinformed.
