Are there any accountant or money saavy people on? We had a great accountant do our taxes, he shockingly got us a refund. Yesterday we got a letter from the IRS saying they believe we qualify for the EIC, and we can file and receive more money. Is there a reason our accountant may not have filed the EIC for us, i.e. it counts as taxable income for next year or something like that? We are awaiting his return call, but thought I would ask here in the meantime. tia! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

To qualify for EIC, in my understanding, the total of you and your spouse's earned income has to be around 35K or less. [ Reply | More ]
