My mom is a lovely woman BUT horrible parent. She has not made ANY summer plans for my 12 YO sis, can anyone recc any program in Bklyn where she can enroll and do something constructive for the summer? Free or very low cost since they have no money. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Lol, she might be a terrible parent, but this doesn't make her one. There was a time when no one made "summer plans" for their kids. We hung out with our friends, spent a lot of time outside. The only thing that keeps that from happening now is that everyone else is making summer plans for their kids. [ Reply | More

Trust me this is not the only reason why i say this. Sis is constantly gettting suspended, she's crying out for help and my mom "didn't have a chance to return a call to schedule counseling" this is after I did the research and give her the numbers to the facilities in bklyn. [ Reply | More

not at all - my daughter is doing a one month DOE sponsored photography camp for free; a week of theater camp at the NY Public Theater - for free and a week of Rock Camp - which is a donation - I paid but could have been free ...
