My house is up for sale, we really wanted to move before the school year starts, and NO ONE is coming to even look. So depressed. Our agent says we're priced right and the buyers just aren't there. Anyone else? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Keep doing Broker Open Houses, its the Agents who will bring the Buyers in at this time of year. Buyers dont do OHs on nice summer weekends but they will do showings with an agent if they are motivated. [ Reply | More

my father buys, renovates and flips houses occasionally on SI. he recently saw a home on Wescott Blvd that has been on the market for a YEAR. It's a great nabe, but in bad need of renovation, unlike your place (but also only has one bathroom). I don't know about ending up in NJ, the RE taxes here are pretty crazy (and I don't even live in a good school district, forget about those!). I think your house is priced right. My friend's brother recently bought a semi-detached out near the mall for about $400. Your nabe is MUCH, MUCH better. [ Reply | More

And you bring up a point a friend made to me: we're competing against the semi attached homes, and even though we're a one-bathroom now, being detached is our "edge." Hope so.
