2 month pregnant and I'm already large for shirts and 8 for pants. Which size should I buy for late pregnancy? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

OH God, be ready...I just added up an estimate of how much I spent on Maternity Clothes, it turns out to be like $1500. And most of it was at Motherhood Maternity which is very cheap. I tried going larger early but then you look twice as big, as really after the 4th month I biught a few things every 3 or 4 weeks. This includes undewear and bras. That may not be a lot to you, but it was to me. However, I sold a box of my 4-5 month clothes on Ebay for $50, and plan on doing the same with the rest. [ Reply | More ]

^^^and these last four weeks are really a bitch, I thought I was done, but out grew so many things in weeks, and I was small/medium frame to begin with 5"3 and 120 lbs, I'm now 155 and wearing extra large in most maternity clothes! [ Reply | More ]

I was wondering what people who were taller and bigger did, I mean really, an extra large for a smaller built person sounds crazy to me!I had a 34 B and went to a 38DD. Most of my friends have started out at at least a 36 C or D! They have a Plus Size in the back, which is where I'll probably be in two weeks. The problem with Motherhood is that the sizes are so off in so many ways that you really have to tray stuff on. But if you do, bring it home to do it, or you'll never buy anything! The other stores, Like Pea in the Pod and Destination Maternity are much better, but cost A LOT more! [ Reply | More ]

I was a size two in GAP jeans, cargo pants, dress pants. My first maternity jeans were a sale item at GAP and they were size 4, I bought them at 2 months, just to have, they were good for about up until 3 1/2 months, then way to tight on my belly. I bought size 6 then, they lasted about 6 weeks, then 8, and they lasted about 3 weeks...then I stopped jeans all together! I need things below the belly. [ Reply | More ]

^^^Now in Motherhood Capri's and and Cargo I am a large, but soon they will be too small, hopefully yesterday was my last maternity shopping trip, I bought a few dresses because they are comfortable. But I can't wear a dress to work! [ Reply | More ]

The Bella Bands helped me out months 2-5, what ever jean size you ate thinking f buying, go up one size so it might last two months instead of one. [ Reply | More ]
