trying to pick between 2 preschools for 3 yo ds. #1 is 4 minutes from our house, but only has an 8:30-2:30 slot. I am a SAHM and really don't want him in school so long. They are saying he would be first on waiting list for 8:30-11:30 slot and would likely get it in a few months (5-6 at most). #2 is 15-20 minutes from our house and has an 8:30-11:30 slot. We like #2 a little better overall, but are nervous about the commute. WWYD? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I'd go for the closer school then, less of a haul in the winter. [ Reply | More ]

Definitely do the former. It will be good for you and the 1 yo. The day will fly by. [ Reply | More ]

Definitely closer. If child has a problem with such a long day, then arrange to pick up earlier. [ Reply | More ]

Unless your child is "slow", he doesn't need preschool. [ Reply | More ]

go with #2. once you get into a routine, an extra 10 minutes won't matter. [ Reply | More ]
