Anyone who has a dh that hates going out? My dh and I never ever go out to dinner or movie, he just can't be bothered with it, We have never done this since we had dcs, (oldes is going to be 9yo, yes 9yo) we go out with dcs on rare occasions because we sort of end up walking by a restaurant and we get hungry. I mentioned if we can go out for our anniversary this month and he as usual says he's not in the mood. I am a sahm so i never have a chance to go out and dress up a bit. Its making me depressed. No I meant go out with him but you do the organizing and just tell him you are going out together. Can you get a sitter for dc rather than bil if that gives you more flexibility. [ Reply | More ]

Your ds is old enough to be fine at home with a responsible sitter and this may give you more freedom. I think if you can get your dh out once or twice and you have a good evening then he might get back into it. Why not use your anniversary as an excuse to force him to go out. Tell him how much it would mean to you. [ Reply | More ]

9yo is oldest, youngest is 14mo but is a good baby and will be asleep by the time we go out anyway so its not a hassle to whoever is watching them, its dh... [ Reply | More ]

Do you have friends who like to go out? I've sort of given up on DH. When I want to do something fancy, I call a mom friend and invite her out on a "date." It's fun! [ Reply | More ]
