DS is totally normal. Let him enjoy listening, and when he's ready he'll enjoy learning to read. Don't make it a chore. It's not a competition, he's right on track, and you're doing him a favor by reading him books he enjoys. That's exactly the right way to go about it. [ Reply | More ]

DD has been reading since about 3 months after her 4th birthday. We are reading the Junie B. Jones books. She can make most of it out, but I do help her sometim es. [ Reply | More ]

My ds can't read yet, either. He can pick out a few small words, but is not that interested in learning yet. Loves to look at books and be read to, though. [ Reply | More ]
