Mine are 21m apart and I've never had any help. I decided just to do what I needed to do to cope. The nb was actually pretty easy to fit in with the toddler. With #1 I had him on strict schedules from birth, never fed to sleep etc and with #2 he has just fitted in. Do you have any specific concerns? [ Reply | More ]

so hard...I have 2 kids never had help no family nearby, take naps if you can or lay down on couch while big kid watches a show and NB is sleeping, it gets better after teh first 3 months, get a routien down if you can that helps, join a moms group to vent, order Fresh Direct, etc. GoodLuck! just some suggestions. do easy meals as often as you can. every sunday i'd make a pot of pasta and some hard boiled eggs. i stocked up on yogurt, bread and sliced cheese. all these things double as a snack or a light meal. i made mornigns my busy and structured time b/c the scheduling was easier. we'd go out in the mornings after b'fast. then naps in the afternoon and playing inside in the evenings. baths after naps instead of after dinner. don't be afraid to let things slide. g ive yourself an extra 15 minutes to get outside. don't be frustrated at wasting time...the goal is to kill time until bedtime. be glad it's summer and you don't have to deal with coats. good luck.
