Are you sure this is a good idea? He should just go around the trees on his side. I've never heard of someone making this demand [ Reply | More ]

OP- it's only 1 foot inside the property line, but runs for 8 ft. So it should be no more than 10 sq ft [ Reply | More ]

1 ft is 1 ft of YOUR property. Be damn sure he wouldnt' do this for you. Let him deal with his fence issue on his side. That's your land...to hell with him [ Reply | More ]

So he gets some of your land and his own way and you get a worthless peice of paper. Once the fence is up he can then do what he likes to the trees and may still cut them down. [ Reply | More ]

I would not let him put a fence on my property and he is comfortable grabbing 8 ft of your land to fence around the trees, let him put the fence on his side of the trees. he sounds very nervy. [ Reply | More ]

I would not enter into an agreement with a guy that is this nuts. He will basically have possession of a piece of your property. You'll be dealing with him forever... [ Reply | More ]

Wife of a lawyer (with a crazy MIL who get in these disputes all the time.) Even if you get the right language, enforcing it will be so time consuming and painful. I know that is not the answer you wanted but reconsider. [ Reply | More ]
