My DH works all the time, when he's overly stressed he's always in a bad mood, (typical dh, I know). However, he is constantly asking me if I still love him and if I love him as much as I ever did, etc - is this typical behavior when a dh is under stress? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I am supportive, and I understand he's under stress, but it is agravating to constantly be asked if I still love my husband who I clearly do anything and everything for - i.e., he gets home really late, I not only leave the light on but I stay awake for him, help him to bed if he's exhausted, clean his face for him (he loves this for some reason), stretch him (he has very tight legs), etc, etc. When he's not home late I make dinner, help him relax, etc. [ Reply | More

op - really? that is SO far from my mind. I just think he's needy but I wish he would stop asking that. Every time I tell him I do love him and sometimes I ask him why he asks me, he just says he wants to hear it (though I tell him multiple times a day) [ Reply | More

so this is something new? has he always been this needy? i certainly don't mean it has to be something sexual that he's done "wrong" but it sounds like he's asking for forgiveness and acceptance -- maybe for some reason in particular, maybe not. [ Reply | More
