Question re: P/T babysitter who works 29 hours week on weekdays at $15/hour requested $20/hour for weekend babysitting. Is this standard? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

It seemed a bit strange she has been with us since January-she has sat on a weekend at the same rate in the past and just came back asking for $20 for a Saturday night. 1 child 11 months old. I don't want to be cheap with the person who cares for my kid but it seemed a bit much. [ Reply | More

I would just tell her that you can't afford that, and find another sitter for weekends if nec. $15/hr for 1 db is a very good rate. [ Reply | More
