My dad is having triple hernia surgery. I want to get him a "recovery basket" with books and movies. Any suggestions on good books and movies for a 68 year old man? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

He likes history, politics and sports. I was thinking Band of Brothers because it would kill a lot of time, but he has seen it. He loves the Ken Burns stuff, but has seen it. Loved the book John Adams, etc, etc, etc. He is also a huge Ohio State fan. [ Reply | More

Maybe go to Amazon and see if they have any recommendations, "If you liked Band of Brothers, you might also like...." For politics, you could get him movies like Dave and Wag the Dog, The Candidate, etc.--even if he's seen them before, they're interesting to watch again [ Reply | More
