Would you go away with 3 y/o but not dh for 10 days? I'm worried 3 y/o will miss him terrbily. Going to visit my sister and 3 y/o will have a blast with her cousins. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

yes, I would go. My DH works 5 days in another state and my kids are still young (under 2) so they don't really get it. DB will miss their dad, but they will be having so much fun and you can call him, I don't think it's a big deal at all. [ Reply | More

Why don't you all just move to that state? My sil did this with her DH and said oh this is fine for us. As soon as the dc finished High School, she learned he'd been having an affair, hmmmmm big surpise! Not! [ Reply | More

I am, but he got the job so quickly we couldn't afford to pack up and relocate all at once and carry 2 homes. However, we are only 27 days away from being together!!!!!!! I cannot wait. [ Reply | More

Go. It's fine. We go for 3 day trips and only now, at 5 yo, my DD sometimes cries that she misses daddy. She completely forgets her troubles when she is playing with her cousins though. Just have them talk on the phone everyday. [ Reply | More
