Anyone been to the Great Exuma Four Seasons? Is it worth the $$? Looking to go with a 3 1/2 year old and a 1 year old. TIA! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

WE went when it first opened and the beach is great. There's really nothing on the island but it's a four season and lovely. Very kid friendly. [ Reply | More

Back from Four Seasons Great Exuma. I have to say - we hated it! I'm not sure what it was, but there was a terrible vibe from the moment we landed. It wasn't up to "four seasons" par like we expected. We are used to the Carribean and the 'laid back' lifestyle - which is great, but just something about it wasn't exciting. We ended up leaving and going to Eleuthera (which is our FAVORITE island, mainly Pineapple Fields!!!). There were a ton of families with children there, and ample cabanas for shade. The menu was okay - they did offer kids menus in 2 of the 3 restaurants. I'm not sure what you look for in a vacation, but this was definitely not the place for me and dh! GOod luck! [ Reply | More

np: We didn't hate it but I agree it's not up to the Four Seasons standard. Service was spotty and really nothing to do outside of the resort (which was fine with us but just fyi). For the four days we stayed, it was fine, though overpriced for the level of service, amenities, etc. Very kid friendly, though -- everyone there was either pregnant or traveling with small kids. We went when it first opened and it was a lovely facility but the service was AWFUL! We ended up demanding a huge discount, which they gave us because they were so much at fault. Having said that, someone in my office went in Dec with older kids and loved it. We went to Four Seasons in Puerta Vallarta...lovely. [ Reply | More
