Bedbug concern and mattress news: Two mattress stores (two different chains) in different states told us it is common practice to relabel and sell as new returned mattresses, so guess what could be in them! Our building has them though we don't yet, but were in the market for a 'new' mattress and we suppose it is just a matter of time. This news I suppose can be taken with a grain of salt but is startling. Furthermore, though I'm sure this is suspect - one store explained a local NY manufacturer reuses materials from reclaimed mattresses. Does anyone know what if any kind of consumer regulation is in place on this stuff. My heart goes out to everyone here who has a current infestation!! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]
