Hey moms I need your help re: car seats. We have a 2.5 year old and a 2.5 month old. We have an infant car seat for the little one (good up to 13 months) and a Britax marathon for the older one. I want to buy another seat while in the US this month. Should I go for a booster seat for ages 3 and up or another marathon and just deal with the booster seat when older one outgrows her marathon....help! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

for my older dd I bought a real booster (just the bottom seat) when she was 6yr old. We had a car seat/booster for her before that age. [ Reply | More

or; my dd is 8yr old now and weighs 61 lbs but considering how tall she is and her age, I wouldn't put her in a 5 pt harness type of car seat. I think they make it up to 65 lbs for kids who are much younger and heavier [ Reply | More

There is new carseat out called Radian80 - sold at Right Start. MUCH smaller and narrower than Britax version and goes up to 80lbs. Meant for this situation exactly and can go next either infact car seat or another larger one. Great space saver. we just got it for our 3.5 yr old DD and have a 4mos old in infant seat next to her in middle. [ Reply | More
