Our babysitter got my 4yo a barbie and all kinds of skimpie barbie clothes for her b-day. I was really hoping to wait longer to introduce Barbie's to her. She's still really happy with baby dolls and groovy girls. So annoyed. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Did you specifically ask people not to get your child a Barbie? If not, you have no reason to be annoyed. It was a gift. Hide it if it bothers you so much. [ Reply | More

you know, i would just not focus on the barbie. someone gave our dd a bratz doll on her fourth. i thought it was gross and stupid but i kept my mouth shut. she played with it for awhile and as soon as i saw her interest wane, i put it in the goodwill bag and got rid of it for good. she never brought it up.
