Why is it that so many of you suburban transplants are so preoccupied with stating differences between blacks and whites? I went to a school that was predominantly black and my HS was predominantly white. The truth is my experience was identical. There was a small group of talented students, a group of harmless jokers/slackers, trouble makers, and the majority average. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

i personally find that to be the case everywhere - groups of like-minded students (ambitious, slackers, socials, whatever) hang together, no matter the socio-eco environment. i believe the only real problems arise when a school is so overwhelmed with underperforming students that they lack the resources to allow the brighter kids to flourish.
