Any Dentist on? Had work done yesterday and my gum in the back of one side are killing me, when I talk or eat it feel like they are being stretched apart, and now my throat is starting to hurt- is this something to be concerned about or will it just take time to heal- if so, what can I take for the pain??? not a dentist but it sounds like you've got an infection. when that happened to me, my dentist wanted me to try to tough it out, but after a week he gave in and prescribed antibiotics. sorry. [ Reply | More

dunno -- I had the infection before I saw the dentist (that's why I saw him -- to remove an infected wisdom tooth). But I do recall, when I got a crown and it took 4 visits, that I got sick after two of them -- all that digging around in your mouth just can't be good. sorry. [ Reply | More
