My 3yo does not leave me alone. I just spent over an hour with him, reading, playing, etc. and told him he needs to go play by himself. 10 mins later he's back bugging me. He's the only one and I'm afraid he's been spoiled with attention. He's dropped naps and there's just no break. I swear, I cannot play with him for hours at a time or I would lose my mind. Any tips to help him be more independent?? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I'm going through the same thing. It helps to have a specific project or toy. Sometimes I will set him up to draw while I do paper work. Or bubbles and water in the sink while I clean up the kitchen. Realize this is not about how time you play with him. [ Reply | More ]
