volo is perfect for getting on and off the bus because of the carrying strap. Not sure how much lighter it is. Another downside of the volo is it doesn't recline. But that strap is great! [ Reply | More ]

volo is 9 lbs (wo extras) - it's nearly as light as cheapie umbrella strollers AND it comes w carry strap and it folds easily and "snaps shut" (like other maclarens). i didn't get it until ds was 2.5, but i would probably use it as primary stroller over 18-24 months when db no longer need to recline to nap in stroller. it's the lightest out there - mine is kind of hard to snap shut which is an issue when you want to get on/off bus quicly...but it could be because it is old. i really found it hard to lug stroller on bus - not sure how old dc is, but can you do a sling? [ Reply | More ]

np: same here with the closing and we have a new one. But I would still recommend it. [ Reply | More ]

I agree with everything said here about the strap-- it's great for kids who don't nap in the stroller. [ Reply | More ]
