a friend (with 3 kids) told me that early contractions feel like menstrual cramps. is that true? if so, dd is on the way soon! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

That was true for me. And I had them intermittently for 2 weeks before labor began. But when labor started, I KNEW! I mean, it still felt like cramps, but more intense and very very regular. [ Reply | More

no...not for me. i think they feel a little differently for everyone. i was in labor for 12 hours without realising it, partly because every time i told my sister (who was with me) i thought i might be in labor, she (who had 2 kids) told me i couldn't be, because the pain was too low down!
