I'm 40, have two great DCs (DS 4 and DD 2), a job and a DH. We don't have the time, energy or square footage for another DC. So why does it make me so sad to know that I will never be pregnant or nurse a baby again? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

No idea, but I am in a similar situation and still get pangs for #3 for no good reason really. I wonder if it were the case even if we had 3 already. [ Reply | More

i hear you. I never wanted more than 2 dcs and I know a 3rd would push us over the edge, and I don't even like the newborn stage, but it is a little sad to know that era is over already. [ Reply | More

Because it sounds like, in your heart, you would like another one, but your head is telling you it does not make sense for you as a family. So you are grieving for the child you feel you still have inside you? Am sure plenty of people feel the same. [ Reply | More
