If you have a cleaning person, do they do things like clean shelves in pantry, garbage cans, shower curtain? We've had same person cleaning once a week for over a year and she has never done any of these things. If I ask her, she says its and extra charge because it is through a service. Trying to figure out if this type of thing is usually included. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

that generally falls under heavy cleaning. I have been looking for such a service that would come in once a month or so to do such things as that, as well as clean under the bed, ceiling fans etc. In NYC--if anyone has any recs, let me know! [ Reply | More

Mine does windows, cooker, fridge, bins etc. She does the usual clean and then rotates the extras. We have her through an agency but previous cleaners from them have not been so thorough. I think she doesn't like to see us living in a mess! [ Reply | More

if you pay her a flat fee for apartment cleaning that makes sense. if you pay her an hourly fee, then that would mean more hours therefore higher cost. [ Reply | More
