Does anyone have babyproofing suggestions for a NYC apartment with 2 cats? Am looking for products to block baby from the cat door (to the litterbox) and to block baby from the cat food, but that will still give the cats access . . . [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

There's a product that's been on the market for quite some time with a 100% success rate. It's called a PLAYPEN. [ Reply | More ]

yeah, but you can't contain your baby in a playpen continually! [ Reply | More ]

Yeah, but you can't pen 'em in forever! Teaching them to navigate the world helps them judge danger [ Reply | More ]

All things in their proper time. They'll learn soon enough. By your logic, why not just give them the keys to the car? [ Reply | More ]

That makes no sense. Toddlers don't have the same space perceptions as adults. [ Reply | More ]

ok, but keeping a toddler in a small space can make them restless- boy, my dc sure got cabin fever all winter! Even toddlers need stimulation & staying in one place for a long time can get frustrating [ Reply | More ]

All I'm saying is that I never had a playpen, I had 2 cats, and my dc did fine. We had no need for containment [ Reply | More ]

we are putting the box in the bathroom and putting a gate up at the bathroom door. We also have two cats and are doing this little project this weekend in fact. [ Reply | More ]

We did the same. We used a pressurized gate and mounted it a few inches off the floor so the cats could get underneath it. Worked perfectly. [ Reply | More ]
