exactly. Wouldn't it be nice if each of the candidates would just stipulate that the other is a pretty good guy who is not out to destroy the country, but that there are some policy differences, and here they are: A,B,C... McCain has not attacked Obama's character once. Nor have I seen any sign of such from anyone, except Hillary. He'll attack his policies, I would expect, to the extent Obama is willing to stick to any of them for more than a few minutes. [ Reply | More

Not yet, and he will not do it directly, but GOP will absolutely do it soon. In fact they have already run those ads during primaries, in NC and probably elsewhere. McCain distanced himself but is not doing anything to make them pull it. [ Reply | More

you have it backwards from what I remember. Yes - the GOP loved it. No - they didn't seek them out. The swift boaters made the adds, paid for them etc without the GOP. The GOP naturally stood behind them. I seriously doubt anyone of credibility will say anything bad about McCain. He volunteered to stay in captivity b/c he was not the one who had been there longest. What else could you possibly say about him knowing that? I'm not a fan of his policies BTW, just respect him as a soldier [ Reply | More

I have no problem with his military record. I have a problem with his policies, and won't be voting for him because of that. But that's another story. BTW, if Obama needs to go after him for something, the Keating 5 fiasco is a much better way to go. [ Reply | More
