So my 3 1/4 yr old dd decided she was ready to give up her pacifier last night. I said great, (we've been talking about the binky fairy and the gift she'll bring in exchange). She had trouble falling asleep, so I came in and lay in the bed next to her. After an hour she was sweating and rolling around like an addict and started crying for it. SHe shares a room with her baby brother, and I was worried she'd wake him (there was a lot of loud crying), so I gave it to her. How much crying should I expect this first night? I"m think I'm going to have to move her brother for at least one night (but we're in a small apt). Anyone BTDT? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

let her have the binky at night only, it must live in her bed, under the pillow, and the fairy will be happy to wait w/the gift. She's a little child, you need the sleep, and make sure she takes care of binky, this is the only one left in her name [ Reply | More ]

agree with this...it's not worth it and it's not hurting anything [ Reply | More ]
