i think under a year, its like just whether they seem to be doing things with their hands, and are aware of where their hands are. It doesn't really get very fine until its time to start picking up cheerios and the like [ Reply | More ]

Under a year it would be grasping a rattle. Another important dev is tracking - following the movement of the rattle as db shakes it. [ Reply | More ]

Taking things apart. You know those giant bead necklace things for kids. Not really a necklace because each "bead" is the size of a lemon? Well taking those apart and putting them together is a good exercise. also threading large beads on a to a string is good. [ Reply | More ]
