I have a 13 m/o ds who doesn't seem to want to eat anything except cheerios anymore. The only thing he seems to eat is yogurt (and probably b/c it's sweeter than anything else he eats). His usual favorites like banana pieces and avocados are a no-go. What gives? Normal? Anyone else experience this? It's like he's revolting against eating. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

maybe try some plain yogurt with fruit mixed in--less sugar, Yo Baby makes a plain version, it is a little hard to find but our Whole foods has it. Or you could try some healthier "sweet" options, like sweet potatoes or canned pumpkin. I haven't run into this problem yet with our 13 month old but everything I have read says to just keep offering a variety of foods but don't force the issue. [ Reply | More ]

Sounds normal. 2 yo ds still has days when he just won't eat anything except his fav cheerios in milk. Any one day or week on the cheerio diet won't do lasting harm! [ Reply | More ]

my younger brother lived on cheerios and barely anything else for about four years. my mom cooked everything under the sun but he wouldn't eat it, just wanted cheerios. she was sick with worry about it but he's fine now. [ Reply | More ]
