Trying to buy a couch and I can't make up my mind (and DH is totally uninterested). Like a "cozy", casual look. Considering something from Mitchell Gold, but don't love any of the fabrics (although there is one that I like). Considering something from Crate and Barrel and like the fabric, but the couch shape isn't my favorite (and I'd wait for a sale in August to order). Going to PB later in the week. Any other suggestions? I love white -- but we're too messy! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I have a Mitchell Gold chair slipcovered in a white/oatmeal denim. Very comfortable. Washes great and looks amazing 10 years later. [ Reply | More ]

That's why I really like the Mitchell Gold couch -- I hear the greatest things about the quality and it's very comfortable. Even washable, I worry about the light color, though (but there's a stripe that might work -- I'm bad at decorating which is part of the problem). [ Reply | More ]

The color isn't the issue as much as the fabric. Get denim or duck or twill - something very very durable that can be washed and stain-treated often. [ Reply | More ]
