I have to ask and IVF question, I myself is going through my IVF #1 Im 39, egg retrieval is almost here, and I'm starting to stress about how my eggs I should be producing, does anybody out there know how many eggs are condidered to be normal ?????? [ Reply [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think that at your age it varies, donors usually produce 10-20 but they are all under 30. [ Reply | More

I did IVF at 33 and produced 12, but a number of those were no good. It really doesn't matter so much how many as long as you have a few good ones. [ Reply | More

not sure if you are still around, I am 39, did my first IVF at 37, 8 eggs, 5 fertilized, 3 embies,1 DS now 2 yrs old. Did 2nd IVF at 39, 3 eggs, 1 embie, BFN. 2nd IVF at 39, (changed protocol), 8 eggs, 5 Fertilized, 3 embies, BFP but just last week and had a low beta but doubling, hoping to see yolk sac tomorrow at ultrasound!
