How does one get a baby/child into modeling in NYC? Where do you find casting calls? What about an agent? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

call up one of the big agencies like Ford, Willhemena (sp?) etc and ask them. They will probably ask you to send pics in with contact info. They will contact you about open castings and also when your dc was requested for a casting. Unless you are connected in the industry somehow, you probably won't get much (unless your dc can really handle being photographed by strangers at inconvenient times) [ Reply | More

Sen a snapshot to the agencies you know. If they are interested they will give the date for an Open Call (usually one held every month). If they like the child at the Call they will take it from their. [ Reply | More

You can find them in publications like the Ross Report. Do not give anyone money unless it's a percentage between 10-25% of the the work they get for you. BTW - huge pain in the butt - rare to get much return especially for print work which is what babies do [ Reply | More
