I am feeling sorry for myself and angry at my parents. My sister had her child young, got pregnant in college and never finished college, needed lots of support ($$, babysitting etc) from my parents. I finished college and business school, worked for a few years and had my first child at 35. So, ten years later. I don't need $ or practical support, but I find it very annoying and hurtful that my parents have a very close relationship with my niece but don't make much effort to see my daughter except at holidays. Just venting, I guess. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I can relate...very similar situation with my in-laws and my nephew. I feel like they were kind of over the grandparenting schtick when my DCs were born. [ Reply | More ]
