NYC Walk-up Moms - need a stroller recommendation. Live in a brownstone (1 flight up plus steps to get into building) and will likely take public transport occasionally with baby. Can leave stroller in lobby - but still have to get it up one flight of stairs. Ive seen some recs on this board for the Maclaren Quest but it seems a little flimsy - would love to hear more opinions. Will use snap and go for first 3 mos. Thanks. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

If you are planing on using the snap and go to start with I would put off getting your main stroller until you have more of an idea of what you will need. I think the Maclarens usually do come highly recommended though. [ Reply | More ]

We had a Maclaren Techno in a similar situation and it was easy. It folded up easily and was easy to carry up the stairs with baby. [ Reply | More ]

We have same thing (brownstone, 1 flight up, etc). I use Quest, it's totally fine. I carry ds up the stoop in the stroller and its no problem. We take the subway a lot and walk everywhere. [ Reply | More ]
