Fiance and I moved in together but then I lost my job (was awful, layoff) and am still regrouping. i bought some things for the house on our joint credit card account and will pay with my first freelance paycheck but he freaked out, said I "stole" from him. His ex-wife (whom I know) warned me that he was very frugal with things for her or the house but had no problem buying things for himself, going on trips, etc. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You obviously got engaged and moved in together way too soon. That you are learning his financial philosophy in reaction to something, AND from his ex, says there are many conversations you two have not had yet which you need to have if you are going to get married. [ Reply | More
