Weigh in on this debate between dh and I: I took off my wedding band to apply sunscreen to the dc. I forgot about it and left it on a dresser. A few hours later I went to get it and it was gone. I immediately asked dh if he had it b/c he has a serious gambling problem. he swore that he didn't and was pissed that I even asked. A week of many tears and tearing apart the house yielded nothing. Then one morning after another exhausting search, I cried and begged dh to give it back or tell me where it was (if he pawned it) He said he didn't have it then hours later while I was out with the dc he calls me and says "I found the ring" of course I was thrilled but wanted to know where he found it. He said I found it in with my laundry. I didn't believe him b/c from where the ring was to where it was found the ring would have to had 1st: gotten from a high dresser to the laundry basket, 2nd: been carried down to the basement where the laundry is 3rd: gone through the laundry sorting, 4th: through the washer AND dryer and finally into my dh's unfolded laundry basket where he claims he found it. He swears his story is true, I say it's an impossible feat for my little ring to make that voyage. We're using you to settle it. So weigh in: did dh take the ring? or did the ring make this impossible voyage? TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I'm not sure if it matter whether he took it or not. You're in a marriage where he has broken your trust to the point where it is conceivable he would pawn your wedding ring. That's the end. [ Reply | More ]

most likely he's lying. only other scenario is that your dc found it and put it in his pocket. it was then washed in dc's clothes, fell out in the washer or dryer and was then incorporated into a later load where your dh found it. lying seems the likelier scenario, however. [ Reply | More ]

do you really need to ask? dont you already know? then it does not matter that he is telling his story, does it? [ Reply | More ]

i think urban baby is the worst place to settle this "debate" and that you're both terrible people. I feel sorry for your kid. [ Reply | More ]
